Sales engineers have a technical experience to answer customer questions and concerns. They must have relational skills conducive to effective selling. They are proficient to identifying which products are right for the customer and how they can be used. They can also identify other applications or other products that might benefit the customer once they become acquainted with their customer’s needs.
Consulting engineers network with a wide range of companies on a broad scope of projects, and come from all engineering discipline, and could be asked to assess the efficiency of an organization.Consulting engineers are either self-employed or they work for a firm that does not provide goods or services directly to consumers.
