The history of engineering goes back further than any written language, which was created in the 8th century BCE. From looking in their environment, people saw areas where life could be made easier to survive. 10 million years ago humans made the first tools from stone, wood, antlers, and bones. This creativeness helped hunters engineer their weapons to help them hunt and fish, and farmers engineered tools to help them grow crops. 1-2 million years ago humans learned to create fire. 25,000 – 50,000 BCE human engineered clothes. 10,000 BCE boats were constructed. 6,000 – 7,000 BCE humans engineered hand-made bricks for construction in the Middle East. 3,500 BCE humans invent the wheel. 62 CE a Greek scientist pioneer steam power. Still to this day, people are thinking of better methods and engineering tools to make survival easier.
